To enter the competition, all prospective Masters in Marketing students need do is submit a 1,000 word essay to the university’s website on the Essay Competition Submission page. The topic of this mini essay is as follows:

There are three prizes for the best entries:

(applies to full time Masters in Marketing & Masters in International Marketing programmes)

  • Best entry from a student living within the European Union £2,000

Dr Ian Grant, senior lecturer, in the Department of Marketing at Strathclyde University, said, “The Department of Marketing has always been at the forefront of innovation in the delivery of marketing education through full time and part time programmers. Our recently revamped courses reflect our commitment to be at the cutting edge of marketing education, so it is entirely fitting that we should offer such a pioneering competition to win a bursary. We look forward to receiving applicant’s entries - and may the best essays win!”

The winning applicants will have the bursary amount deducted from their tuition fee for the Masters programme most suited to their needs. Please note that essays will only be considered by those who apply and meet the programme application requirements.

The University of Strathclyde’s Department of Marketing runs three specific Masters courses, each aimed at differing sets of student needs:
